Terms and conditions

1. Scope

These terms apply to purchases of platform beds and related goods from The Tidy Octopus Household Goods Inc., unless the specific order states otherwise. They do not limit consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable Canadian law.

2. Product display and order formation

Product displays and inquiry forms provide information and help prepare a possible purchase. A binding order is formed only after the material product, price, tax and delivery details are provided, accepted and confirmed.

3. Prices, taxes and delivery

Prices are in Canadian dollars and include 13% Ontario HST unless stated otherwise. Tax may be adjusted according to the delivery province. Delivery charges are shown separately for each model, and additional services are charged only when agreed before purchase.

4. Payment

Available payment methods and due dates are disclosed before a binding order is placed. Submitting a non-binding product inquiry does not create a payment obligation.

5. Delivery

The estimated delivery time is shown with the product and clarified in the order confirmation. Customers must provide accurate address, access and condo-delivery information.

6. Title

Title to the goods remains with us until the agreed purchase price has been paid in full, where permitted by law.

7. Defects and warranties

Mandatory statutory warranties and consumer remedies apply. Natural variation in wood grain and colour is not by itself a defect when the product otherwise matches the agreed description.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so is prohibited by law. Subject to that rule, liability is limited to loss that was reasonably foreseeable when the order was made.

9. Governing law

Ontario law and the applicable federal laws of Canada govern these terms, without limiting mandatory consumer protections available in the customer's province or territory.
